Hui Hui

Born and raised as a Chinese girl in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam,

Hui grew up caught between two cultures,

often feeling like she belonged to neither.

Somewhere between these two worlds, she found a sense of belonging through art.

At 14, she stumbled into a tattoo shop seeking shelter and unexpectedly discovered her love for painting.

Although tattooing wasn't within her reach at the time, she held onto that little dream.

Ten years later, she finally took the leap to pursue it.

Over the years, Hui developed a deep love for watercolour and traditional Chinese ink painting,

which continue to shape her artistic style today.

She is constantly learning, experimenting, and finding ways to translate the fluidity and emotions of these mediums onto skin.

Outside of tattooing, Hui owns a ridiculous amount of encyclopedias, enjoys painting birds (a lot), and has a borderline obsession with her cat 菠菜 (Spinach in Chinese).

During her free time, she is probably staring into space, daydreaming, journaling,

or picking up another hobby she’ll eventually abandon.
